Australia

Rachel Neeson formed Sydney-based Neeson Murcutt Architects with her late partner Nicholas Murcutt in 2004. The practice specialises in bespoke houses, housing prototypes, multi-unit housing, public and community projects, sports facilities and schools. It is one of very few smaller practices to have been awarded the highest professional accolade across public architecture, urban design, interior, heritage, education and residential architecture. In 2016 Dr Stephen Neille joined the practice. Rachel studied architecture at the University of Sydney and completed a Masters of Architecture in Barcelona. She has been Adjunct Professor at the University of Sydney, and is currently Professor of Practice at the University of New South Wales. Rachel currently serves on design advisory panels for the City of Sydney and Landcom.
