Whether we live on the ground floor or the 41st level, in a town house or a compound, multi-residential living is a part of our lifestyle in every country across our region and the globe. Living more closely together has become the norm. However, along with large vertical developments, there are other typologies being created that present a variety of smaller more bespoke styles of habitation, and so multi-residential living these days presents in many forms.
Within the many categories in the INDE.Awards, The Multi-Residential Building showcases the diversity of just how we live today and as the supporter of this category, Bosch, recognises how good design incorporates best practice and pushes the boundaries of innovation and creativity in multi-residential design.
Bosch is aware that a great apartment needs the best not only in design and amenity but attention to detail, product choice, fittings and finishes and spatial layout. These are what make the difference and enhance lifestyle. Bosch is perfectly placed to provide exceptional product to every project, after all, the company has been at the forefront of design, producing quality appliances for the kitchen and laundry for more than 130 years.
Olya Yemchenko, Brand Communications Manager, Bosch commented, “The INDE.Awards advocate that good multi-residential design is multifaceted, it recognises efficiency, quality of design, sustainability, functionality and innovation through thinking.
The shifting landscape presented by 2020 has seen a greater focus on sustainability and innovative thinking and it is these characteristics that really connect with the Bosch brand. Our products seek to spark enthusiasm, improve quality of life and help conserve natural resources. It is this philosophy that drives us to support initiatives such as the INDE.Awards Multi-Residential Building category and continue to support outstanding design in this space.”
In the 2020 INDE.Awards, the winning project of The Multi-Residential Building was Mermaid Multihouse by Partners Hill with Hogg & Lamb. Creating a new paradigm in multi-residential living, Mermaid Multihouse can facilitate multiple lifestyles and offers flexible living for families or households within a typical suburban house site. It is a brilliant concept and provides food for thought to the design of inner city multi-residential development.
Creating something new begins with research and development and Bosch understands that the changing face of residential design requires products that meet these needs. As the way we live evolves, so too are the products from Bosch, leading the way in design and application and enhancing the interiors of our homes. Yemchenko added, “Embodying the essence of timeless design, Bosch home appliances combine premium aesthetics with intuitive features and German engineering to create the perfect choice for any design-led kitchen. When quality and style are both paramount, Bosch products in your choice of stainless steel or black glass finishes are easy to use and deliver exceptional results. The breadth of range provides flexibility for all different types of projects, design styles and affordability levels- essentially we can offer the right product for the project regardless of its application.”
The Bosch brand is renowned for its products that stand the test of time and, so too, the best multi-residential buildings are those that are built to last. No longer is it good enough to create for today without thought for the future. Ensuring sustainability is at the core of design means engaging in all aspects of the process and as architecture leads the advance for a more sustainable environment, Bosch is there as well, as a partner and advocate.
Yemchenko elaborated, “For over 130 years, Bosch has been synonymous with quality, performance, convenience and sustainability. Honoured with more than 200 design awards over the past five years our design is functional and pure, everything has a purpose. The individual elements are therefore of fundamental importance.
“Equally, we have placed significant importance on climate action with the goal to make emission in our direct sphere carbon neutral worldwide. As multi-residential projects seek to find efficient and sustainable solutions, Bosch has aligned its approach to support this objective.
A true partner to the industry, Bosch has been a supporter of various industry bodies, events and design-led initiatives. We offer individual support for designers, architects and developers based on their needs and projects.”
And partnership is indeed the way forward. As people live more closely together it is about how we connect and how we live with the future in mind that is paramount. Trusted products that elevate our day-to-day life are important and Bosch is at the ready to make the everyday just that little bit better.
