The Graduate at the 2023 INDE.Awards is a special category that is a platform for emerging architectural talent within Asia-Pacific. It is the opportunity for young architects to contribute their work to be showcased, not only at home but on the regional and global stages.
This year the competition was fierce with submissions from multiple schools across the Indo-Pacific and, at the heart of the many and varied entries, was a propensity for deep thinking as these graduates look to the future. There are ideas of re-interpretation, different perspectives and of course sustainability narratives included that make this shortlist exceptionally diverse and thought provoking.
As supporter of The Graduate, COLORBOND® is also looking to the future by supporting rising talent and contributing to the next generation of architects.
COLORBOND® is also deeply committed to sustainable initiatives in its business and in what it does to support the environment. From the beginning of a career for the young graduates, to the established business of COLORBOND®, both have the same objectives to design and make a better world.
With the vast array of entries, it is clear that the rising stars of architecture want change in all its manifestations. Social, urban, city and ecological themes are in abundance as are new directions for development and renewal, with fresh proposals that investigate old premises and futuristic plans that extrapolate the fundamentals of architecture abound.
