Born in Nairobi, Keane studied environmental design at the University of Western Australia and earned a Master’s in Architecture from Princeton University. After working at Steven Holl Architects and Eisenman Architects in New York, he returned to Australia and founded Enter Projects in 2005.
In 2018, Keane relocated to Phuket and rebranded his practice as Enter Projects Asia, now with a 25-strong team across two offices. The firm is known for blending artisanal crafts with digital fabrication and streamlining processes to minimise project delivery time.
Sustainability is central to Keane’s work, with a focus on reducing material waste. He believes the post-COVID era of design demands a reconsideration of architecture’s role as shelter, particularly from an environmental standpoint.
Patrick was accorded The Luminary award at the 2023 INDE.Awards.
