A registered architect in NSW and Victoria, he has championed Indigenous-led design for over 25 years as co-founder of Indigenous Architecture + Design Victoria and co-author of the International Indigenous Design Charter.
Jefa is a Regional Ambassador for INDIGO (International Indigenous Design Network), co-curated the Australian exhibition at La Biennale Architettura di Venezia 2020/21, and is a founding signatory of Architects Declare Australia. His contributions to design have earned him recognition as a Qantas 100 Inspiring Australian and a 2020 inductee into the Design Institute of Australia’s Hall of Fame and he was accorded the accolade of Luminary at the 2023 INDE.Awards.
