Huzefa is an “accidental architect” who originally planned to pursue chemical engineering. Coming from a creative family (photographer father, fashion designer mother, and sister), Huzefa found his architectural path through circumstance. After specializing in Design of Digital Manufacturing at Georgia Tech, he worked with architect Hafeez Contractor in Mumbai before co-founding MuseLAB with Jasem in 2012. Huzefa is more spontaneous with travel, though well-prepared Jasem often guides their explorations. Together they established MuseMart in 2015, focusing on unique furniture collections through global collaborations.

Artistically inclined from childhood, Jasem discovered architecture at age 10 when observing architect Lalita Das renovating his family’s home. He pursued his education at Savannah College of Art and Design, where influential professors shaped his creative vision. After returning to Mumbai from the US, he worked with Pinakin Patel before co-founding MuseLAB with Huzefa. Jasem is meticulous about travel research and documentation, drawing inspiration from diverse architectural influences across Europe and South Asia, particularly appreciating how culture impacts design.
