Set in the peaceful landscape of Gwal Pahari, groupDCA Studio is a workspace designed to bring people closer to nature while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and well-being. It reflects the firm’s commitment to sustainable and thoughtful design, marrying architecture with its natural surroundings.
The studio is spread across four rectangular blocks, each with a specific purpose—workstations, meeting rooms, principal offices, and a cafeteria—woven with open spaces that encourage movement and interaction. Climate-friendly features such as rubble masonry walls, open north-facing facades, and thatched roofing help keep the space naturally cool and filled with soft, diffused light. Locally sourced materials and repurposed elements, such as century-old wooden columns and doors, add character while reducing environmental impact.
By using traditional craftsmanship and passive cooling methods, the studio creates a work environment that is both practical and inspiring. Every path and space opens up to views of nature, bringing a sense of calm and connection. Departing from the conventional glass-and-concrete office model, groupDCA Studio embraces a workspace shaped by nature, openness, and heritage. It encourages creativity, collaboration, and quiet reflection, moving beyond rigid structures and routines.
