155 Clarence Street Lobby

GroupGSA’s transformation of 155 Clarence Street’s lobby redefines the workplace experience by introducing a ‘hotel-like’ third space concept. The revitalised lobby fosters tenant engagement, adaptability, and community, seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary functionality.

The design draws inspiration from the building’s 1939 Art Deco heritage, integrating original architectural details with modern spatial planning. Three distinct zones—an energised café and event space (‘engage’), an informal meeting and collaboration hub (‘create’), and a focused work retreat (‘imagine’)—offer tenants a dynamic and multi-functional environment.

Sustainability is at the core of the project, with locally sourced materials, smart lighting, passive ventilation, and biophilic elements enhancing efficiency and user well-being. Heritage features, including original Art Deco columns and a curated historical display, celebrate the building’s legacy.

By transforming a previously underutilised space into an inviting, highly functional environment, the project sets a new benchmark for workplace lobbies—fostering productivity, social interaction, and long-term adaptability.
