Haven, Mondrian Gold Coast

Haven, all-day restaurant and Pool Club at the newly opened Mondrian Gold Coast embodies a coastal daydream, like the seaside has been lifted to the third floor. The venue amplifies Burleigh Heads’ natural beauty with views overlooking iconic pines and a Mediterranean food story.

The interior’s sculptural language, materiality and custom furniture inspired by Jorn Utzon’s Can Lis reimagines its local beachfront heritage with a Euro-inspired narrative, creating an elevated aspirational venue experience.

With a seafood and fresh produce offering, Haven is expressed through stone, concrete and patterned tiling in neutral and blush tones to craft the ambience of a wind swept coastal ruin patined by the sun and sea.

A large pre-cast concrete bar with huge walnut-framed mirrors reflect the green marble lined pool deck and pine-fringed views, while the restaurant with seafood ledge, pizza oven and open kitchen are located in the rearmost corner, clad in timber work and patterned tiles.

Curated furniture and banquette arrangements in solid timber, rattan, micro-cement and coloured leathers ground the shell-like tones of the base finishes and direct patron flow through the space. Long timber dining tables with green-tiled legs and inlay detail cater to banquet dining.
