Stylecraft Showroom

Set in a revitalised mid century tower on bustling Collins Street, Stylecraft Melbourne presents a tactile, immersive showroom for the Australian furniture and lighting brand. Subdued natural materials and site-responsive details form a refined backdrop, animated by pink LED lighting interventions that celebrate the brand’s irreverent spirit and design-led identity.

Ascending a central stair, Stylecraft’s ‘home’ collection continues to unfurl across the narrow showroom. Inspired by the building’s rhythmic grid of H-profile columns, a stepped timber ceiling—gently up-lit from within—brings human scale to the lofty interior. Metal elements float between perimeter columns, sidestepping the conventional ‘chair wall’ display to present Stylecraft’s seating range with gallery-like reverence.

Adjacent to the dramatic, U-shaped stair, the tenancy’s width doubles, hosting a bespoke presentation of Tacchini’s design family. Above, Stylecraft’s commercial range expands across an open retail floor interspersed with workspaces, meeting rooms, and production areas, surreptitiously blurring the distinction between product display and internal operations

The design thoughtfully responds to the existing building, drawing on its structural language to shape a timeless and highly legible workspace. Bespoke stanchion and pilaster elements reinterpret the building’s H-section columns at a refined scale, echoing the site’s architectural cadence and establishing a unique pattern language throughout.
