Lune Rosebery

Lune’s Sydney flagship store, set in a century-old engine warehouse, crafts an identity-driven expression of the celebrated Melbourne-born croissanterie. Much like the perfection of a Lune croissant, the design is a study in precision, merging conceptual threads derived from celestial diagrams, planetary rotations and the fluidity of engine oil.
Stepping across an inset brass timeline of Lune’s history, visitors are immersed in a cylindrical entry portal finished in trowelled black render. A recessed display holds Lune’s signature pastries with a gallery-like reverence, with each product illuminated by a pin light until sold out—a dynamic and ever-changing showcase.
Beyond, a minimalist, glazed pastry kitchen ‘box’ commands the expansive warehouse, inviting visitors to delight in the artistry of croissant-making. Engineered with precision, this volume appears to effortlessly float, accentuated by iconic ‘hyperdrive’ lighting that elevates Lune’s inner workings to an almost otherworldly realm. In front, a cast concrete counter greets customers with a grounded presence. Timber banquette seating lines the perimeter, complemented by bespoke steel furniture, thoughtfully designed in-house.
