The Project
Thoughtfully crafted to harmonise traditional detailing with contemporary sensibilities, Deco House stands as a sensitive renovation project where Art Deco charm converges with modern family living. Originally built in the 1930s, the home had undergone interior alterations in the 1990s under previous ownership.
To enhance the living experience, there was collaboration with local artisans to create bespoke pieces—such as the office desk and dining table—infusing the space with unique character. A marvellous stone threshold serves as a transition point between old and new, while soft, warm neutral tones envelop the interior, creating a soothing atmosphere.
The layout has been optimised to accommodate both family life and entertaining, with a rumpus room adjoining the main living area. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and the home office maintain the integrity of the original structure, while a new extension houses a spacious, open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area tailored for modern family living.
