We Should Be So Lucky
Australia

Emma Cross
Born and raised in Melbourne, I developed an interest in architecture when set the task of reconstructing an ancient Greek temple from three stone fragments as part of my Arts degree in archaeology. A love of photography followed, and after studying, and working with John Gollings, I now specialise in architectural, industrial and landscape photography.

The Project
We Should Be So Lucky is a renovation of a house, originally designed by David Luck Architect, on a compact 47-square-metre block. The distinctive “Grassy” house was in need of repair and remediation to the exterior, while the interior required a total remodelling to maximise the small footprint. Multiplicity redesigned the interiors to provide more space, storage and privacy, and Mcnuttndorf Landscapes repaired and replanted the exterior to create a unique city bolthole.
