Like all Tait products, the Billy Collection was purpose-designed for Australian environments. Values of quality, longevity and ease are embedded into the range, which includes a Chair, Lounger, Sunlounge, Dining Table, Easy Dining Table, Stool and Bar Cart. As an outdoor collection, the primary functional concern was to create pieces that can withstand diverse climates and environmental conditions across the country. Robust materials — stainless steel, aluminium or Accoya timber, laminated glass and hard-wearing outdoor fabrics — meet the tough brief.

The collection also speaks to a distinctly relaxed Australian approach to outdoor living, expressed in the lower height of the Easy Dining Table which is paired with the Billy Lounger. This laid-back character is also expressed in the Sunlounger’s height-adjusting mechanism – a piece of thoughtful engineering designed for ease — and optional slide out table with a wine glass slot.

The Billy Collection encapsulates many of Tait’s sustainability approaches: local design and manufacture, material provenance, customisation, flexibility and refurbishment. Handcrafted in Melbourne, the Billy Collection is conceived and made as a modern Australian heirloom. To ensure it remains in use for years, each piece is designed for easy refurbishment, extending its life and minimising environmental impact.
