Yarra One is a residential development redefining amenity and providing an urban space for the community and its neighbours. The tower’s elliptical form and orthogonal wings takes its place among the South Yarra skyline, while the extensive timber trellis enclosing the atrium creates a calming space and sense of retreat.

The 27-storey residential tower consists of 247 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as an additional three penthouses. Yarra One offers multi-generational living through a host of onsite amenities as well as providing commercial tenancies on the lower podium floors overlooking the atrium space.

On the ground plane, the primary entry point is announced by a tapered stone portal rendered in silver ash marble. Inside, stone cladding continues through to the lobby. The mailroom and lift lobby are wallpapered with marble and fluted gum timber for an inviting arrival experience, while stone joints have been articulated with a bronze profile to create a space-scaling grid and reminder of the super-scaled trellis.

Apartments have been designed with rich textures and refined detailing, as well as bespoke joinery, and ample storage. Both the residences and common amenity spaces feature finely grained timber floors and honed marble bench tops providing a continued language across spaces. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide each apartment with a spectrum of orientations and views optimising access to daylight and ventilation to each apartment.

A number of the apartments were designed in line with Liveable Housing Australia’s Gold-Star standard. This required keeping some of the finishes and layouts, but including additional fixtures to make an adaptable, multi-generational apartment, allowing the layout to change as the user’s needs alter in the future.
