Indie Spa is not a typical spa experience. With a unique wellness offering catering for group treatments, the design was required to embody an invigorating spirit. A vibrant colour palette, playful forms, and layered materiality culminate in an experience that is both charming and whimsical.
The Indie Spa exists within Sunnymead Hotel, which is characterised by a modern, mid-century, Palm Springs inspired aesthetic that became the inspiration for the interior design.
Colour filled rooms, playful forms and layered materiality create an experience that is nostalgic yet fresh. The contemporary palette of burnt oranges and mustard yellows juxtaposed by eucalypt greens and powder blues injects a sense of energy and excitement to the space.
The palette is complemented by playful forms, such as curved details and an asymmetric reception desk, that further contributes to the spa’s aesthetic. The layered materiality of the interior creates a sense of depth and richness throughout the space.
From the green tile and render of the reception desk to the assortment of tiles used within the treatment rooms, every surface has been carefully considered to create a cohesive and vibrant interior experience.
The spa’s playful, whimsical atmosphere is both inviting and invigorating, making it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and indulge.
