Queensland Fertility Group’s (QFG) new state-of-the-art flagship IVF laboratory and Day Hospital supports doctors and scientists in creating families. This cutting-edge facility integrates the latest international research in IVF laboratory design with human-centric hospital healthcare principles that sets a new benchmark in laboratory and healthcare excellence, patient treatment and staff well-being. The new facility is located within the top two storeys of a purpose-built healthcare building within a medical precinct. Level eight contains a three theatre Day Hospital, Central Sterilising Department and Recovery Areas that services fertility, IVF, gynaecological and other patients. Level nine accommodates fertility services, including a world class IVF Laboratory, Cryostorage, Embryo Transfer Rooms and Staff Offices.

Close collaboration with the client was essential in fulfilling their vision of delivering outstanding personalised patient care and world leading fertility treatment. The inclusive design has carefully considered all aspects of the patients’ journey while supporting staff’s health and well-being by incorporating ergonomics, natural light, and efficient workflows. The new QFG hospital and IVF laboratory offers a calm, secure and caring environment and marks a welcome design-first for fertility laboratories and day hospitals in Brisbane by enhancing both clinical outcomes and patient experience.
