Albion Bathhouse

The Albion Bathhouse is an immersive retreat where architecture and atmosphere intertwine to cultivate restoration. At its heart, three pools of varying temperatures glow within a dimly lit chamber, evoking the hushed intimacy of a firelit cave. Silver travertine, textured surfaces, and subdued lighting heighten the sensory experience, while a central fire anchors the space, encouraging stillness and reflection.

A carefully choreographed spatial sequence leads visitors through a series of thermal environments—steam rooms, saunas, and flotation spaces—each designed to shift perception through temperature, light, and aroma. The transitions create a meditative journey, deepening relaxation and disconnection from the outside world. Beyond its experiential qualities, the Bathhouse embodies an architecture of restraint—spaces are deliberately minimal, materials honest, and design intentions precise. It is a place where the built environment becomes a conduit for wellbeing, demonstrating how thoughtful design can enhance physical and mental restoration.
