Terra Abundante is an educational and experiential journey along the O’shannassy Aqueduct Trail in the Yarra Ranges. The project’s goal is to recalibrate our relationship to landscape, by questioning how we can design for dynamic and ever-changing ecosystems. Within the context of deeply curated and colonial landscapes, the project takes upon architectural interventions to translate steps toward reconciliation and regeneration. It acknowledges that the Country is always alive and always remembers. It understands landscape as fabricated spaces and experiences. Each intersection bares histories of confrontation while employing site-specific architectural and landscape typologies that invite visitors to embark on a healing process with Country.
