As Managing Director of the Sydney office, Tom Owens oversees Gensler’s strategic growth and operations in Australia. As the nominated architect for Gensler Australia, Tom is integral to growing the firm’s presence in the region, building strong relationships with clients and mentoring staff. Under Tom’s leadership, Gensler have grown their ANZ expertise across Workplace, Retail & Hospitality, Education, Mixed-Use, Consulting and Strategy, and have completed incredible projects for clients in the region such as UTAS, Accenture, Facebook, Air New Zealand and Samsung. Tom leads the team through his unique balance of team wellbeing and office finance while simultaneously allowing creativity to flourish within the studio. Tom is also a registered Architect in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, ACT, Western Australia and New Zealand.
