The Influencer shortlist in the 2023 INDE.Awards is just that, influential in every respect. With sustainability at the heart of each of the project designs, there is consideration for people and place, and a deep passion to instigate change in design and build thinking.
Whether a project is a single or multiple residence, a place for a community to gather, learn or relax, each of the projects seeks to reinvent architecture to make better for the people who inhabit a building, space or place and for the country that surrounds it.
K5 Furniture is the supporter of The Influencer and recognises the importance of design that is sustainable and sustaining. As a business, K5 Furniture has always taken the high environmental road, creating products that are designed for longevity and ensuring that sustainability is key to every design. It’s not simply a matter of talk, it’s action that sets K5 Furniture apart from its peers – as much as the Influencer projects have been designed as architectural templates for the future.

The Influencer projects encompass not only the physicality of a building but also the social and cultural sustainability that the architecture can provide. Materiality and ways of building are re-imagined but the central core of each concept is to create better design with a lighter footprint. It takes courage to make change and The Influencer projects are doing this both individually and together as an exulted group.
Congratulations to every practice in this shortlist. The results of your passion are proof that sustainability should be inherent in every building and design. You are paving the way to the future, sustainably, and we thank you.
